Inclusion
Inclusion
Students with a range of complex learning needs and significant intellectual disabilities are fully included in our school culture and are able to thrive socially, developmentally, and academically under the expert guidance of a robust team of resource teachers.
Approximately ten percent of our student population participates in the state Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP), which allows us to provide a cognitive disabilities teacher, a learning disabilities/dyslexia specialist, and a non-categorical special education teacher, in addition to special education aides and contracted therapeutic services (occupation therapy and speech/language) for students who need these additional supports and interventions.
Our uniquely Catholic program model is based on a continuum of learning support that ranges from accommodated instruction and assessment through modified or replacement curriculum. See our full program description in the Department of Public Instruction’s SNSP Special Education Profiles.
